Youth Climate Action Fund
reposted from The Town of The Blue Mountains website.
The Town of The Blue Mountains is excited to announce that Round 2 of the Youth Climate Action Fund is now accepting applications.
Youth between the ages of 15-24 can apply for up to $7,000 to fund their climate action project. The project must take place within the traditional territory of Saugeen Ojibway Nation and align with climate change-related goals or actions in The Blue Mountains Future Story and/or Going Green in Grey.
You may wish to support a youth-led project. All eligible projects must have a ‘Fiscal Lead’ or sponsoring organization that can provide a bank account able to receive and dispense the microgrant funding. These organizations can include schools, non-profit organizations, local governments, libraries, service clubs, and more. Fiscal Leads can claim time spent up to 15% of the total microgrant request for the much needed support they provide.
A copy of the Public Notice is linked here. The website (www.thebluemountains.ca/YCAF) has updated program information, and there's a YCAF Poster that can be printed or shared on social media.
