What you’ll be doing
We are hosting one more work bee this fall to prepare our fruit trees for winter and prepare for next year's planting! I hope you can join!
Julie Lamberts from Rooted By the Bluffs will be joining us to talk about starting an orchard or food forest and key considerations a
12:00 - 12:30 pm - Intro to Fruit Trees & Food Forests with Julie 12:30 - 2:30 pm - Work Bee Tasks include:
- Spreading tarps and mulch ( to solarize the grass to prepare for further planting next year)
- Weeding around the trees
- Installing tree guards to protect them from critters
As usual, please bring good footwear, gloves, water bottle, and a shovel if you have one.
Also, if you have a wheelbarrow that you can bring, please let us know.
