About This Event

We hope you’ll gather with us on the beautiful grounds of Bela Farm in Hillsburgh, Ontario on September 29th. It’s home to innovative organic farming, community food projects, reforestation, apiary and bee sanctuaries, land-based art, performances, scholarships, immersive education programs, and advocacy around current urgent environmental issues. It’s a beautiful place where farmers, environmentalists, artists, and educators develop creative responses to environmental crises.

What better place to gather and raise money to further protect and expand the Greenbelt?

The fight to reverse taking land from the Greenbelt for development was successful—but the proposed Highway 413 and Bradford bypass remain threats to its integrity. The need to protect farmland, forests, and wetlands calls for the expansion of more Greenbelt in other communities. This event will be a spirited launch to the next phase of Greenbelt protection in Ontario.

More details will be coming soon, including an announcement of the special performers we have lined up and the ability to purchase tickets. It will be an amazing day and we hope you can share it with us.

Sincerely, the Gather Organizing Committee
