About This Event

Kevin Land, Proprietor of Speaking Volumes Books bookstore in Markdale, has again offered the cosiness of his store's gathering-corner for this get-together on Wednesday February 12 at 7:00 p.m. The bookstore is at 42 Main Street West in Markdale.

For those of you who may not recall what a Warm Green Evening is - it's an opportunity for those of us involved in climate action in South Grey to get together to share our feelings around our involvement in climate action, particularly at times of potential discouragement. It isn't meant to encroach on the mandates of the Grey Highlands Climate Action Group or Earth Works in West Grey or any other climate action hub. We held two Warm Green Evenings in 2024, and some of us felt encouraged by them.

While the Evenings haven't been highly structured - they've gone where participants want them to go - an entry question doesn't hurt, so I suggest this - "Is it ever possible to turn discouraging times into encouraging ones?"

And for the sake of calculating the size of the teapot and cookie plate on Feb. 12, could you let me know if you will likely attend?

regards and thanks,

John Butler
