The 27th Huron Fringe Birding Festival will be held

May 23 to 26 and May 29 - June 1, 2025.

MacGregor Park could hardly be a better location for the headquarters of our Festival. Located on Lake Huron, the Park's shoreline, woods and wetlands provide an abundance of enticing habitats for birds. The surrounding Huron Fringe of land along the lake and north to the tip of the Bruce Peninsula provide a concentrated
funnel for migrating birds winging their way to their nesting destinations. Our leaders take you to local and regional hotspots, to every bird and botany-rich corner of Bruce County, including destinations throughout the world-famous Bruce Peninsula. The excitement awaits. Oooh can't wait!

Online Registration will be active on March 14 at 6 am
ALL-DAY EVENT participants will park, register and depart from the Campers Beach Parking Lot.
Most other events will start at the Visitor Centre. Generally, morning events return to the Visitor Centre by 11:30am (11:00am mornings of Nature Showcase); afternoon and all-day events return to their respective parking lots by 4:30pm (3:30pm on 1st Saturday); events by 3:00 pm.

We also offer some mobility limited events. This 🚗 indicates where vehicle transportation is required.
This ⭐ indicates a shortened event ending by 3:00pm.

Every day at the Visitor Centre – Early morning coffee & treats. BBQ lunches daily 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
NATURE SHOWCASE at the Visitor Centre 11:00 am (1st Saturday)
Mix & mingle at The Nest over lunch. Check out the ‘By Donation’ Table in the Visitor Centre.

Youth (10-21) are welcome on Festival events (ages 10 -12 accompanied by an adult who is also registered for that event). Children under 10 are not allowed on Festival events.

As events are selected during registration, the fee will be adjusted automatically to the appropriate package when the applicable total is reached.
