Celebrate Bruce Trail Day with us!
Join us for a memorable hike through Lion’s Head Provincial Park to the iconic Lion’s Head Lookout, one of the most spectacular viewpoints on the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula. This route follows forested trails and rugged sections of the Niagara Escarpment. We’ll take a moment to visit the Giant’s Cauldron Side Trail and Lion’s Head Pothole Side Trail along the way. Our destination, Lion’s Head Lookout, rewards hikers with panoramic views of the turquoise waters below, the surrounding cliffs, and the iconic Lion’s Head rock formation. Expect uneven, rocky terrain, exposed cliffside sections, and plenty of opportunities to pause for photos and take in one of the Bruce Peninsula’s most unforgettable landscapes. Sturdy hiking footwear, water, snacks, weather-appropriate layers, and a camera are strongly recommended.
Join us at the Ferndale Visitor’s Center for light refreshments after the hike.
This hike is part of Bruce Trail Day, which celebrates togetherness on the Trail and all the ways the Bruce Trail brings us together with one another and our beautiful surroundings! Join us for family friendly activities and light refreshments at the Ferndale Visitor’s Center after your hike.
