Mike Warkentin will present "Lost in Light", exploring how light pollution is hiding our night skies and what we can do to help. He’ll highlight stunning celestial sights from the new astrophotography exhibit at the Parks Canada Visitor Centre and explain the wide-ranging effects of artificial light at night (ALAN). Learn how astrophotography can help us rediscover what we've lost.

A retired IBM software engineer and lifelong astronomy enthusiast, Mike brings both technical expertise and a deep passion for preserving the night sky. He is a BPBA Board Member and leads the Bayside Astronomy Dark Sky program.
